  It is unfortunate that Joe Bloggs can submit a libellous review, devoid of facts, especially the fact that it took court proceedings to be paid for a very good job done! Why scoundrels like this bother is strange. Professionals from a very wide area recommend Acorn regularly with confidence!

• Stay well away!

  Terrible experience - no stars!! They arrived a day too early, waking my house-sitter before 8am. They then criticised my house-sitter for not having the rooms ready to be treated. They were very rude, saying giving them access was just "common sense", despite my having checked with the Acorn office and having been reassured that "the boys will do all that". They then read the form of work to be done and realised they only needed access to one room - no apologies for the insults though. Although I had checked whether other people would need to be away from the chemicals and been told they are "harmless", they sprayed my brother in the face while spraying the attic, leaving him coughing and head achy for several hours. They knocked over the light in the attic, smashing the bulb, and the chemical they used (again, despite my checking on this) ran through our newly painted ceiling, past the newly installed light fittings, and caused 9 little chemical pools on the floor below. When I phoned to complain, I was brusquely told to "put it in a letter"; when I did, this was ignored. The disputed payment ended up in court. I wouldn't touch these guys with a bargepole - please learn from our experience with them.
